Venturing is a year-round challenging high-adventure activity, sports, and hobbies centred program special designed for young men and young women ages 14 to 20 (and have completed the eighth grade). Venturing goal is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.

The program highlights are teaching teenagers leadership skills, providing chance to teach others, and to give them a chance to learn and grow in a supporting, caring, and fun environment.

Venturing was officially formed by the Boy Scouts of America's executive board on February 9, 1998. However, the roots of Venturing go back much almost as far a Boy Scouts, itself. Boy Scouts of America known the requirements of older teens to have age appropriate activities and challenges and first created a national Senior Scouts program in 1935.

Venturing Oath: As a Venturer, I promise to do my duty to God and help strengthen America, to help others, and to seek truth, fairness, and adventure in our world.

Venturing Code: As a Venturer, we believe that America's strength lies in our trust in God and in the courage, strength, and traditions of our people. We will, therefore, be faithful in my religious duties and will maintain a personal sense of honor in my own life. We will treasure my American heritage and will do all we can to preserve and enrich it. We will recognize the dignity and worth of all humanity and will use fair play and goodwill in my daily life. We will acquire the Venturing attitude that seeks truth in all things and adventure on the frontiers of our changing world.

Venturing Bronze Awards: This award may earn in each of the five areas: sports, religious life, arts and hobbies, outdoor, and Sea Scout.
Venturing Gold Award: This award identifies a significant accomplishment in a young persons life.
Venturing Silver Award: This award is an intensive award that earn by completing advanced requirements in Emergency Preparedness, Ethics in Action, Leadership Skills and more.
Venturing Ranger Award: This award is an additional award based on outdoor and adventure activities. A Venturer must complete eight requirements and at least four of 18 electives.
